PolyTALENT supports a strongly growing industrial company in Leipzig in filling this responsible position as Chemist for Polymer Chemistry. The company is looking for a candidate with advanced expertise in polymer chemistry, at least two years of industry experience, and a PhD would be ideal.

Requirements

• Development of polymer formulations and polymerization strategies for new, polyester-based plastics
• Definition of desired polymer properties and creation of R&D plans for implementation
• Leadership and evaluation of analytical workstreams
• Close cooperation with process engineering to transfer R&D results into scalable processes
• Development of compounds in cooperation with external partners for fine-tuning of material properties for various applications
• Development of sustainable plastic products for various applications
• Identification and validation of new application fields in line with the go-to-market strategy
• Creation of technical reports, patent applications, and possibly publications
• Ensuring SHEQ and sustainability standards (including REACH/CLP, LCA, recycling, end-of-life)
