Job Description
As an Assistant Operations Manager, you’ll help lead our teams in maintaining high standards of operational efficiency while prioritizing the safety of all team members. This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. The ideal candidate will have experience with Computerized Operating Systems, obtain a TWIC Card issued by the Department of Homeland Security, and have a Valid US Driver’s License.
Requirements
- Effectively manage the work activities of the Foreman, Labor, and other personnel
- Determine the amount of labor needed for each day and ensure labor is ordered appropriately
- Make decisions affecting overtime cost and general expenditures
- Ensure payroll accuracy and make appropriate changes as needed
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Safety program
- Work closely with M&R/Terminal Departments to ensure equipment allocation meets operational demands
- Maintain positive relations with Labor and ensure that the Collective Bargaining Agreements are understood and adhered to
- Develop, communicate, maintain, and improve operating and administrative procedures
- Ensure certifications and required training and clearances are current for you and your staff
- Ensure that all company policies, procedures, and controls are followed
