Clinical Registered Nurse

The Clinical Registered Nurse will provide nursing care to patients living with HIV or those at risk for HIV in an outpatient ambulatory clinic.

Requirements

• Perform specialized sexually transmitted infection (STI) assessments and treatments
• Support physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants
• Provide treatments, administer medications and vaccines
• Obtain appropriate specimens for screening tests
• Provide adherence, sexual health and risk reduction counselling and education
• Assess patient adherence and tolerance of medications and treatment plans
• Perform in person triage for walk-in patients
• Report infectious diseases to the Department of Public Health
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop holistic care plans
• Abide by all National and state regulations/laws, and agency policies regarding confidentiality of client information
• Maintain continuing education requirements for licensure
