The Construction Supervisor monitors ongoing operational activities to ensure that the work is being done correctly and the project stays on schedule. This includes ordering supplies/materials, scheduling, equipment maintenance, and training new employees.
Requirements
- Direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors
- Ensure material requisitions are issued in adequate time
- Inspect sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards
- Supervise and instruct the team as well as subcontractors
- Enforce site safety rules
- Handle site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol
- Supervise and coordinate in the performance of various activities
- Maintain an accurate record of employee attendance
- Coordinate safety training and enforce safe work practices
- Facilitate toolbox meetings/Daily Pre start meetings
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives
