The Senior Sales Manager oversees and implements all sales activities for a specific area of responsibility or market segment(s), including developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts and implementation of sales strategies.
Requirements
- Develop sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of Company sales goals and profitability
- Prepare action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
- Identify opportunities and grow new business from a variety of large multi national, local and regional organizations to ensure a diverse complimentary mix of events.
- Manage and develop the sales team setting objectives to achieve pre-set targets identified from the sales plan.
- Develop an annual sales strategy, taking into account market trends and the business environment and review this on a quarterly basis reporting on any findings.
- Provide accurate forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace.
- Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Ensure contracts are accurately raised and reflect the proposal made and, working with the Contracts Executive, ensure they are signed and returned.
- Develop a robust CRM process to ensure that key client relationships are developed on an on-going consistent basis and that this information is recorded and reported each month.
- Maximize all sales opportunities through research of accounts and upselling Techniques
- Ensure strict adherence to business conduct guidelines and other business processes throughout the organization
- Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
