Electrical Engineer High Power Lab

The High Power Lab (HPL) is a largest short-circuit testing facility in North America and operates independently of utilities and manufacturers. The engineering team is responsible for conducting tests including load and fault-interrupting tests, arc-resistance tests, and tests involving voltage and current to test objects. They also oversee laboratory operations, create test proposals, manage projects, and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or Power Engineering) with a postgraduate degree preferred.
• Minimum three years of Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of transmission and distribution equipment design, operation, and electrical testing.
• Professional Engineer registration (or ability to obtain registration).
• Experience with project management and quality standards.
