Maintenance Technician - Housing

Builds, installs, repairs and/or maintains machinery, equipment, physical structures, building systems and outside environment. Performs routine preventive maintenance and repairs specialized equipment and machinery.

Requirements

• Receive resident work orders
• Communicate with outside vendors
• Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment
• Assist supervisor with scheduling and conducting unit inspections
• Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them
• Provide grounds keeping services
• Estimate repair costs and complete repairs
• Assist manager with invoicing and staying within budget
• Communicate to administrator of status of projects
• Ensure Housing Quality Standards are followed
• Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings and training opportunities
