Teacher - High School English - Retention Bonus Eligible

We are seeking a highly qualified High School English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, Arizona Teacher Certificate, and teaching experience at the secondary education level. The starting salary for teachers is $55,000 annually, excluding Prop 301 funding.

Requirements

• Provide communication to students and parents on a weekly basis
• Grade student work within 24-48 hours of being submitted
• Evaluate student work by providing written comments on all submitted assignments
• Post a daily announcement in each course to motivate students
• Manage the discussion board in each class to encourage participation and learning
• Meet weekly expectations as outlined in teacher training and the Teacher Expectations and Guidelines
• Participate in professional development and department meetings
• Assist with administering standardized assessments
• Establish rapport with students/parents and encourage students to maintain attendance and academic expectations
• Direct students to necessary resources
• Monitor and oversee student access to the Parent Student Portal and other websites
• Properly document issues, concerns, and important information concerning students/parents
