The Laboratory Animal Resources (LAR) group at Princeton University is seeking a Veterinary Technician to provide support to all Laboratory Animal Resources (LAR) Facilities. The Veterinary Technician will work with all species of laboratory animals, BSL-1 or BSL-2 level infectious agents, hazardous chemicals, and radiation. The position requires a willingness to work with these agents and use appropriate safety measures. The Veterinary Technician will perform clinical rounds and treatments, document and maintain records, and assist in coordinating treatment schedules. The position also requires weekend and holiday on-call duties, as well as the ability to lift 50lb. The Veterinary Technician will work independently and communicate well with different levels within the organization, and work well with a diverse team for a common goal consistent with the mission of the Laboratory Animal Resources Department.
