The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for providing high-quality, critical care to patients dealing with severe and life-threatening conditions.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate’s Degree considered with appropriate experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is preferred.
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are mandatory; additional certifications such as CCRN may be beneficial.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments and handle multiple priorities effectively.
