Job Description
Procom is a leading provider of professional IT services and staffing to businesses and governments in Canada. We are searching for a Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Santa Clara, CA. The Software Engineer will work on new features and applications for the Low / No Connectivity project.
Requirements
- MS degree in CS, EE, Math or related field
- 7+ years developing applications using Java, Jetty, jaxb, Servlets, Spring framework, HTTP servers, web application servers, XML, and JDBC
- Experience working with relational databases like MySQL
- Development experience on Linux platforms
- Team-player with excellent communication skills to participate in meetings and present design ideas
- Self-motivated, quick-learner and works efficiently
- Ability to implement creative and simple solutions to complex problems
- Knowledge of NoSQL database technologies like Redis
- Working knowledge of messaging systems like rabbitmq
- Willingness and ability to learn from peers
- Ability to mentor junior team members
- Have a startup mindset and willing to take initiative
- Experience working in an Agile development team
