Job Description
Procom is a leading provider of professional IT services and staffing to businesses and governments in Canada. We are searching for a Sr UNIX Administrator for a contract opportunity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- UNIX or Linux Certification desired
- 8+ years overall IT experience
- 5+ years with UNIX/Linux
- Proven skills with UNIX (At least two required AIX, Solaris, HPUX)
- Proven skills with LINUX (At least two required Suse, RHEL, OEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Experience building physical, & virtual systems using (OVM, LPAR(s), Zones, VMWare/VSphere)
- Experience working with IBM Hardware utilizing an HMC, & redundant VIO Server's
- Strong understanding of patch management across UNIX, & Linux systems.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux monitoring tools.
- ITIL processes, & procedures
- Experience working with Storage Area Networks.
- Experience supporting remote locations.
- Scripting experience in Shell, or Perl desired.
