Application Engineer - Products & Process Technology

The Application Engineer will configure solutions to meet individual client and market needs, working closely between sales and production to provide innovative clean solutions. They will develop project plans, guide the sales team, and define PRI's technologies to meet specific client and market needs.

Requirements

• Technical degree in mechanical, chemical, engineering or science field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years in sales of industrial machinery, capital goods, engineered products and related activities
• Expertise in communicating features and benefits of systems and equipment
• Ability to discuss problems and negotiate mutual agreements with consulting engineers, contractors and customers
• Experience in analyzing competitive technologies and market feedback to identify opportunities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to read blue prints/drawings
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite, including Excel
• Ability to travel as required, including some overseas trips
• Ability to attend and/or participate in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events and technical groups
• Foreign language skills a plus
