Registered Nurse, Emergency, Mount St. Joseph

Mount St. Joseph Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for their Emergency Room. The Staff Nurse will assess, identify, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care required to assist patients/residents in meeting their physical, social, spiritual and psychological needs.

Requirements

• Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives, or in Residential Care and Mental Health
• Two years' recent experience working in a tertiary care emergency department and/or two years' recent medical/surgical experience with an approved post-basic emergency nursing specialty program
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures
• Ability to work as a member in an interdisciplinary team
• Ability to apply decision making and analytical skills
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
