Job Description
Cognito LLC is seeking a Medical Records Technician to support the ICE Health Services Corps (IHSC) at the El Paso Processing Center in El Paso, TX. The Medical Records Technician will utilize their abilities to provide high-quality healthcare to those in ICE custody. The role requires maintaining electronic health records, performing data entry, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of available information for providers. The Medical Records Technician must maintain confidentiality and security of the eHR and work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Maintains Heartsaver CPR AED certification through the American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting as a Medical Record Technician, Unit Clerk, Medical Record Clerk, or similar position
- Minimum 1 year of direct experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
