Job Description
PsiQuantum is seeking a Cryo and RF Technical Engineer to support the validation and high-performance operation of quantum photonic systems in a new laboratory in Brisbane, Australia. The successful candidate will manage installation and maintenance of complex subsystems and work with measurement, design, and operations teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of practical experience in a similar role within a scientific or advanced engineering environment
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience building and operating cryogenic equipment
- Vacuum equipment assembly and test
- Good understanding of rf best practice and rf signal cabling, including in cryo environment
- Experience operating test equipment manually and via control software
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and external stakeholders
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identify and resolve potential issues
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as taking initiative
