Job Description
PTC is looking for a IoT Technical Support Engineer to join their global team providing support to customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in IoT infrastructure, programming languages, and customer-facing communication skills.
Requirements
- Objective, concise and customer facing communication skills
- Programming experience in at least one language: Java, JavaScript and/or other Web-related development technologies (HTML5, CSS, PHP, etc)
- Knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL RDBMS, or ANSI SQL; non-SQL DBs like InfluxDB, Cassandra
- A good understanding of IoT infrastructure, such as network communications, mobile equipment technology, cloud services, especially Microsoft Azure Cloud
- A sound understanding of web services development including use of a REST API
- An understanding of IoT hardware sensors, devices, machines, or industrial PLC’s and their respective network communication protocols
