Job Description
Public Counsel is seeking a full-time Paralegal to support the Homelessness Prevention Law Project. This role involves assisting with high-stakes litigation like unlawful detainer actions, providing pre-litigation counsel, and providing pro bono legal services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The position is part of the Shriver Housing Project, assisting thousands of low-income litigants each year.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 1 year of experience in litigation support under supervision of a California attorney
- Demonstrated commitment to serving low-income people
- Excellent verbal, written, and phone skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
