Job Description
Public Storage is seeking a Vice President, Assistant General Counsel, Real Estate to manage real estate activities, including transactions, development, construction, commercial leasing, and other general real estate functions. The role requires hands-on legal skills, team management, and high performing team development. The successful candidate will have strong academic credentials, 12+ years of relevant law firm and in-house experience, and subject-matter expertise in all areas of real estate.
Requirements
- Manage real estate acquisitions, prepare and negotiate real estate documents, and partner with development and commercial leasing teams
- Build, develop, and mentor internal and external teams
- Manage and resolve real estate issues, work with state and local agencies, and oversee the efficient use of outside counsel
- Track, manage, and analyze internal data on legal spend, design and implement measures to control and reduce costs
- Evaluate and implement technology tools for efficient management of legal activities
