The Department of Mathematics in the College of Science at Purdue University invites applications for multiple appointments as Professor of Practice in Mathematics at Purdue University Indianapolis to begin in August 2026. These appointments will be at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice.

Requirements

• PhD (or its equivalent) in mathematics or a closely related field by the start of the appointment
• Teaching experience after obtaining a PhD will be viewed favorably
• Ability to teach a range of courses in the undergraduate curriculum
• Commitment to teaching, mentoring, and interacting with undergraduate students
• Willingness to observe classes and provide teaching guidance to new instructors
