Job Description
QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Motor Designs Engineer to join their Maritime Solutions group. The role involves designing, building, tuning, and troubleshooting end-to-end motor solutions for crewed and uncrewed, robotic platforms. This position requires a deep understanding of electromagnetic systems and integration within complex systems for both defense and commercial applications. Requirements
- Master of Science degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Robotic Engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years of related experience
- Experience with Ansys and Maxwell simulation tools
- Familiarity with standard motor design specifications (NEMA, IEC)
- High DC voltage application experience
- Design for MIL-STD power and EMI requirements
- Ability to communicate technical information to various audiences
- Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
- Experience interfacing with and collaborating with customers
