Accountant (Insurance sector)

Qover, a leading insurtech scale-up, is looking for an Accountant to join its Finance & Accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day Accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely closing of Qover's books, and dealing with operational queries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
• 2 - 6 years of experience in Accounting
• Experience in Insurance Accounting (at an insurance company or a Broker) is a positive
• Knowledge of BE GAAP, IFRS, Belgian Accounting standards, Insurance Accounting standards, as well as tax and accounting principles and legislation
• Comfortable implementing and using new Accounting software
• Detail-oriented, while keeping an eye on the company’s goals and long-term future
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in French or Dutch and English
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Excel is required
