Job Description
Southern Electric Corporation is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to join their growing team. This position involves the maintenance and repair of distribution systems, including pole/tower climbing, digging holes, and operating equipment. The company values safety and customer satisfaction and offers industry-leading training for its employees. They manage over 100 crews and nearly 2,000 pieces of late model equipment.
Requirements
- Successfully completed a forty-two (42) month apprenticeship program or a certified testing program.
- Experience in the line industry as an apprentice lineman.
- Ability to safely install and remove cover material.
- Capable of safely operating a digger derrick and bucket truck.
- Understanding of safety procedures, including fall protection and equipment inspection.
- Ability to inspect rubber goods, cover materials, and PPE.
- Ability to safely handle heavy lifting and rigging
- Valid Class B commercial driver’s license
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
