Job Description
The Press Operator B (1st or 2nd Shift) sets up, adjusts, prepares, and operates punch presses and drill & tap machines within a department. Responsibilities include operating presses, loading/unloading stock, inspecting quality, and following safety guidelines. This role requires accurate material handling and a focus on 5-S principles.
Requirements
- Operate press after set-up.
- Align and secure dies, set stop gauges, stripper, knockout, ejecting, and safety devices.
- Inspect raw materials and ensure completion of quality inspection paperwork.
- Maintain an organized work environment.
