Job Description
Rackspace Technology is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Accountant to join our Technical Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teams throughout the business including sales, finance, and operations.
Requirements
- Analyze and research revenue accounting matters
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive documentation around accounting conclusions reached
- Assist with ad hoc projects and questions
- Enhance existing processes by identifying efficiencies or proposing new ways to do things
- Work closely with sales, operations, and other departments to gather necessary information for revenue recognition and reporting
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue transactions
