Job Description
The VMware Cloud Engineer is responsible for providing high-level technical support to customers through phone, ticketing, and automation. The role involves configuring, optimizing, and maintaining VMware virtual infrastructure to ensure system availability, security, and performance. This involves deploying and maintaining virtual machines, managing vSphere environments, performing upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and supporting disaster recovery initiatives.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on VMware administration experience
- Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN and related technologies
- Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation and VMware NSX
- Familiarity with Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems
- Good understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, Port Group Creation, virtual switches, NIC teaming)
- Experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization
