Job Description
Rad AI is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure to build robust, scalable systems. The role involves influencing technical direction, architecting cloud infrastructure, and improving reliability and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on infrastructure/platform development experience
- Deep expertise with AWS/GCP, including core networking, compute, storage, and managed services
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language used for infrastructure work (Python preferred)
- Experience building tooling and automation for other engineers
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, containers, and container orchestration
- Comfortable with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred, Pulumi, or similar) and Git-based workflows
- Solid Linux fundamentals and ability to debug issues at the OS, networking, and application layers
- Demonstrable experience leading complex, cross-team initiatives from design through rollout
- Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with technical and non-technical partners
- Data-informed, pragmatic approach to decision-making
