The Live-in Custodian assists in cleaning and ensuring the proper physical maintenance of the property, including the grounds. We have part-time or full-time options available.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of all maintenance systems (pumps, emergency generators, swimming pool, sprinklers, ventilation, boilers, etc.)
- Ensure residents are acting in accordance with rules and regulations
- Ensure that grounds are maintained in accordance with established company standards
- Knowledge and understanding of the safe handling of cleaning materials used at the property (WHIMIS)
- Repair maintenance items (i.e. light fixtures, vents, filters, plumbing fixtures)
- Operate all equipment safely
- Ensure that the property is in compliance with provincial and municipal regulations
- Conduct daily visual inspection of all mechanical, HVAC and sprinkler systems
- Comply with regular fire safety and life safety standards
- Extensive knowledge of emergency procedures
- Cleaning and maintaining common areas
- Vacant Units: Thorough cleaning of all appliances, floors, walls, windows, kitchen, washrooms, and balconies
- Repair of minor maintenance items
- Removal of garbage items and old/broken appliances
