Job Description
The Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory control, and logistics of materials in a manufacturing setting.
Requirements
- Supply Chain Management: Develop and implement procurement strategies to balance quality, cost, and supply continuity.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid excess or shortages.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage disputes.
- Logistics Coordination: Oversee the scheduling and logistics of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Cost Management: Analyze market trends to achieve cost reductions while maintaining quality.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the materials management team.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with industry standards and regulations
