Summit Surgery Center-Troy MI - Full Time OR Nurse

Summit Surgery Center is an outpatient surgery center with varying day shifts. The Operating Room (OR) RN has responsibility for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients and staff in the intraoperative areas.

Requirements

• Provide intraoperative care in procedure rooms and operating rooms.
• Transport patients to and from operating/procedure room.
• Prepare patients for surgery by disinfecting skin at the operation site and positioning them on the operating table.
• Verify name, strength and dosage of medication.
• Responsible for “timeout” per site verification policy.
• Apply aseptic and sterile techniques to medical instruments and equipment before, during, and after surgery.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided.
