Job Description
Remitly is hiring a Software Development Engineer II - Backend to help serve small business owners around the globe. The role involves building new features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and promoting engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience
- Experience building and operating backend systems in a production environment
- Strong fundamentals in system design, data modeling, and performance optimization
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, or similar)
- Familiarity with distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- A track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable code in a collaborative environment
