Job Description
Renesas is seeking a Sr Staff Application Engineer to be the technical owner of the core layer for Renesas Hardware Support Packages, enabling MATLAB/Simulink workflows across Renesas MCU families.
Requirements
- Architect and lead development of MW HSP foundation components including External Mode, PIL, Scheduler, and CodeGen integration.
- Guide integration of compilers, toolchains, and Renesas MCU families, ensuring reliable build/deploy workflows.
- Perform deep architecture reviews, troubleshoot escalations, and provide technical direction to senior engineers.
- Own GitHub release workflow, validation strategy, and long‐term maintainability (branching, CI expectations, regression readiness).
- Collaborate with MATLAB/MathWorks and Renesas experts to ensure compatibility with the latest MATLAB releases and alignment to platform strategy.
