Sr. Staff Systems & Applications Engineer role

We are looking for a Sr. Staff Systems & Applications Engineer to work on DC-DC converters in server, telecom, and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in power electronics, switching regulators, control theory, and PMBus protocol, and experience with PCB schematics/layout and CAD tools. They will also have knowledge of power integrity analysis and simulation tools, and experience with EMI/ESD compliance and thermal management.

Requirements

• Collaborate with product line system, design and validation engineers to develop evaluation board validation plans.
• Design and develop test hardware for high-current buck converter validation.
• Create and maintain test automation scripts for PMBus telemetry and control.
• Debug and resolve hardware, firmware, and silicon issues related switching and linear converters.
• Interactions with internal marketing/sales teams and customers for support on existing and new products.
• Develop application notes, calculators and reference designs for server and telecom power architectures.
• Perform efficiency, thermal, transient response & other electrical characterization.
