Quality Control Technician

The Quality Control (QC) Technician will perform various laboratory-related activities such as reagent preparation, tissue culture, equipment maintenance, sample receipt and disposal, maintenance of consumable and reagent inventory, ordering reagents and preparing reagents following relevant standard operating procedure (SOP).

Requirements

• Provide support to the day-to-day operation of the laboratories maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the lab area and storage units.
• Operate in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDocP) at all times, adhering to company documentation policies and maintaining documentation systems as required
• Maintain reagent and consumable inventories including routine stock checks and re-ordering materials from suppliers.
• Prepare in-house reagents and maintain stocks of in-house reagents.
• Maintain various cell lines on regular basis by revival and passaging at set intervals.
• Perform peer review / verification of general lab documentation.
• Provide support to and liaise with the Facilities group on the following at minimum:
• Identify and lead improvement projects on areas of responsibility.
• Occasional QC testing where appropriate and trained.
