Job Description
Ikerian AG, a fast-growing medical device software company based in Bern, Switzerland, is seeking a Cloud Engineer to optimize their cloud infrastructure. The role involves managing and maintaining AWS cloud environments, monitoring performance, and ensuring scalability. The position is pivotal to providing a seamless, secure, and scalable experience for customers.
Requirements
- A demonstrated entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset
- A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Proficiency with IAM, S3, RDS, VPC, ECS, EC2, and more
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform
- Scripting experience with one or more languages, such as Python, Bash, or Node.js
- Good knowledge of cloud security principles and services, such as AWS WAF, GuardDuty, KMS, and CloudTrail
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools, including GitLab (preferred), GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.
- Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPC, Subnets, and Load Balancing.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools for cloud environments, such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and the ELK stack.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Genuine interest in staying updated with AWS services
