We're a small business finance company looking for a Paralegal to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia. As a Paralegal, you'll be at the center of originations, contract operations, and collections support, working directly with executive leadership to shape processes that scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- A paralegal certificate from an accredited program is preferred
- 2–3 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal
- Experience in legal collections preferred, but not required
- Hands-on experience with UCC-1 filings and searches, and strong document management discipline
- Familiarity with state small-business financing disclosure frameworks (Virginia preferred) and working understanding of ECOA/FCRA touchpoints in small-business credit
- Excellent drafting, proofreading, and detail orientation; ability to juggle multiple matters with tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing demands
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is desirable
- Ability to learn and manage multiple software applications
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information
