Electrical Engineer – Power Distribution

RFA Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of power distribution systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and related renewable energy components.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years in solar or energy storage)
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, CSA, and IEEE
• Strong understanding of AC (single- and three-phase) and DC power systems
• Experience with schematic capture tools such as Altium, P-CAD, or PADS
• Proficiency with CAD platforms (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for system and layout development
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 for reporting and documentation
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project support
