Foundational Data Build Engineer

Rimes is seeking a Foundational Data Build Engineer to help shape and enhance our data platform. This role involves leading initiatives, driving automation, and innovating across our data infrastructure and workflows.

Requirements

• Experienced in Python and SQL with hands-on engineering expertise.
• Skilled in profiling and optimizing ETL systems and large-scale data pipelines.
• Familiar with IT infrastructure, working experience in datacentre or any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, etc.) will be a plus.
• Comfortable working with distributed systems / big data projects (SMB clusters, Palantir Foundry, Databricks, etc. are a plus).
• Familiar with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog or similar).
• Strong problem-solver with the ability to dive deep into complex technical issues.
• Background in financial services or other data-intensive domains is advantageous.
