Job Description
Rincon Consultants is seeking Field Biologists and Botanists to provide as-needed support for projects spanning the Central Coast. This is an opportunity for early-career and experienced biologists to contribute to high-impact work in utility, infrastructure, and development, adjusting responsibilities and compensation accordingly. Senior-level applicants can lead teams and mentor junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, botany, ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
- 2–5+ years of biological fieldwork
- Expertise in Central Coast ecosystems
- US Fish and Wildlife Service or California Department of Fish and Wildlife designation (preferred)
- Understanding of federal and state environmental laws.
- Ability to hike 6–8 miles per day in difficult terrain
