Job Description
The Commissioning Technologist will be responsible for commissioning and testing primary and secondary power equipment in a field substation environment. This includes maintaining breakers, switches, transformers, and supporting the training of junior technicians. The role requires expertise in interpreting blueprints, analyzing test reports, and troubleshooting performance issues. Safety, mentorship, and software familiarity are also essential aspects.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Field Testing and Commissioning
- Experience in substation
- Past supervisory experience
- Competent computer and spreadsheet experience
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Willingness to work out of town and on rotation
