Riverlane’s mission is to make quantum computing useful sooner. To achieve this, Riverlane is building the Quantum Error Correction Stack to comprehensively correct the millions of data errors that prevent today’s quantum computers from achieving useful scale.
Job Description
Riverlane is a company focused on mastering quantum error correction and unlocking the potential of quantum computers for advancements in material science and chemistry. They are seeking motivated software and hardware engineering students for a summer internship (2026) at their Cambridge, UK office. Interns will work with experienced professionals, develop algorithms, and contribute to projects related to quantum computing applications.
Requirements
- Current student in a related technical field (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.)
- Strong computational and/or theoretical work experience
- Experience with a programming language
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Interest in quantum computing (desired)
- Availability full-time (10-12 weeks) for summer (June 15th - September 4th, 2026)
