Job Description
Rocket.Chat is seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance to transform its financial operations into a data-driven and scalable structure. The role requires strong experience in startups or tech, distributed teamwork, and financial process automation. This position will oversee financial processes, governance, investments, and ensure global compliance in a multicultural environment. The ideal candidate will build and mentor finance teams while optimizing processes for sustainable growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience as CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance in startups or tech companies (preferably SaaS or open-source models).
- Strong background in FP&A, Controllership, Accounting, and Financial Planning.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and financial process automation.
- Solid understanding of global financial operations, including taxation and compliance in US, Brazil, and Europe.
- Proficiency in strategically managing cash balance/runway, financial modelling, forecasting, and performance metrics (MRR, LTV, CAC, churn, margins).
- Knowledge of international accounting standards (specifically US GAAP).
