Spacecraft Thermal Engineer I/II Pipeline

Rocket Lab is seeking Spacecraft Thermal Engineer I/II Pipeline professionals to support its Space Systems division. This role involves thermal modeling, analysis, testing, and validation of rocket components. Engineers will collaborate with test and design teams, ensuring the safety and performance of space vehicles. This position is part of the team supporting major space missions.

Requirements

• Complete thermal modeling and analysis of vehicles
• Conduct thermal design trade studies that successfully balance performance margins, resource use, risk, cost, and schedule
• Liaise with program and engineering staff on thermal design and test matters
• Perform thermal model validation using test and in-flight data
• Identify and resolve thermal design, acceptance, and performance issues for space vehicle components and assemblies
• Design and execute thermal tests for space vehicle components and assemblies
• Perform thermal model validation using test and in-flight data
• Participate in planning, execution, and data analysis of thermal balance tests
• Strong communication skills
