Job Description
A higher education organization is seeking to hire an Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of GAAP accounting experience in a mid-sized or larger environment and has strong experience leading month-end close and handling reconciliations. The role involves managing a team of 2-3 accountants and leading month-end close, financial reporting, GL maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Requirements
- Manage accounts receivable function
- Manage groups billing and travel agent commissions for groups
- Perform customer services
- Manage monthly distribution of bills to the Residences
- Assist Assistant Director of Finance with payroll processing and Accounts payable
- Assist with Balance sheet accounts reconciliations
- Assist during quarterly and yearly audits
- Assist with any ad-hoc assignments as needed
