Job Description
Roku is changing how the world watches TV and is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Backend to build large-scale platform products and services used by millions of devices. The ideal candidate will have strong software development experience, expertise in cloud services, and experience with data stores and caching layers.
Requirements
- Strong software development experience - Java preferably - (Python nice to have)
- Expertise building large scale cloud service, ideally in AWS
- Experience in appropriate selection of data stores and analysis of trade-offs
- Experience with in-memory caching layers such as Redis, Redis Cluster, Memcached, or others
- Monitoring quality of deploys and troubleshooting of production systems
- End-to-end architecture of the web, from end user device to a service in a datacentre
