The Make Ready is responsible for the efficient and timely preparation of apartment units to be re-leased, by performing turn of all vacant units, while meeting established quality standards. The role is responsible for performing make-ready tasks, inspecting sheetrock, and making repairs. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of experience in maintenance or related field, and general knowledge in a variety of skilled trades.
Requirements
- Follows the make-ready checklist to complete necessary repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in, as directed by the Supervisor or manager
- Inspects sheetrock and makes repairs; caulks and seals windows, sink areas, toilets, bathtubs, and showers; and performs touch-up paint
- Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for make-ready tasks
- Cuts expenses by fixing rather than replacing parts, and avoiding being wasteful with supplies
- Assists with property curb appeal by picking up trash, pressure-washing, performing general cleaning, and painting, as needed
- Complies with safety and risk-management policies by participating in the safety meetings, OSHA training, and other safety related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately
- Delivers a high level of customer service by treating residents and others with respect and completing assigned work with efficiency and urgency
- Performs other duties, as assigned
