Job Description
RS&H is seeking experienced Civil Field Engineering/CEI Inspectors for their Transportation-Construction Management team in Salem, VA and Fredericksburg, VA, covering the states of Virginia and the District of Columbia. Inspectors will monitor construction activities, inspect materials, and ensure compliance with contracts and safety regulations on road and bridge projects. This is a team player position requiring strong communication and mechanical skills.
Requirements
- Maintain detailed records of contractor's operations
- Monitor work zone traffic control plan
- Monitor erosion control plan
- Perform sampling and testing of component materials
- Verify dimensions of prepared and completed work
- Inspect the construction work and conduct field tests
- Track/measure completed work quantities for payment
- Perform survey checks
