Rushdown Studios is seeking an experienced Unreal Engineer to join their partner studio. This role involves working on challenging features within Unreal Engine, including engine modifications, gameplay, UI, networking, rendering, and tools. The company focuses on solving difficult multiplayer game problems and is seeking motivated developers who can collaborate effectively with designers.
Requirements
- Five (5) or more years of professional experience working on multiplayer games in Unreal Engine.
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills and ability to architect gameplay mechanics.
- Experience developing SDKs or plugins for other developers.
- Experience developing games for consoles and integrating with console SDKs.
- Proficiency with third-party service integrations.
- Understanding of Gameplay Ability System (GAS).
- Understanding of Unreal Engine’s UI tools (UMG and Slate).
- Understanding of Unreal’s asset systems (Asset Registry and Asset Async Loading).
- Familiarity with Entity Component Systems and Unreal’s MassEntity system.
- Experience with Unreal’s networking framework and understanding of low-level networking fundamentals.
- Experience with Unreal’s rendering features (Nanite, Lumen).
- Proactive approach to communication and problem-solving.
