R&D Scientist - Aerosols Division

Rust-Oleum is seeking an experienced Senior Chemist to join their R&D team in the Consumer Product Goods (CPG) sector. The role focuses on developing and optimizing aerosol coating products, ensuring performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, particularly in formulation and application of aerosol products.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Scientific Methodology
• Coating Chemistries (alkyd, acrylic, epoxy, urethane, phenolic, polyaspartics, sil(ox)anes etc.)
• Coating Formulation Science (lead design, development, and optimization)
• Analytical science and material science with an emphasis on structure-property relationship
• Technical Leadership (ideally, presenting in meetings)
• Organizational Leadership (manage resources, partners, and address challenges)
• Driving product innovation, researching new materials and technologies
• Problem-solving regarding stability and application efficacy
