Sacramento Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (SBHH) is a new facility located near downtown Sacramento. As the first newly constructed psychiatric hospital in Northern California in more than 30 years, this hospital offers 117 inpatient acute psychiatric beds, an outpatient treatment center, and a procedures clinic providing electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) and other interventional psychiatry services. We offer a full range of individualized treatment services, adults, and senior adults, including treatment for mental health and co-occurring (mental health and substance abuse) disorders. Additional services include mental health and substance abuse screening, assessment, crisis intervention, consultation, education, and individual and group counseling.
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems to ensure efficient operation and physical condition. Responsibilities include HVAC system repair, general repair and grounds maintenance, basic plumbing/electrical tasks, and facility upkeep. The role requires adherence to safety regulations and participation in professional development.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in building/mechanical equipment maintenance and repair (or equivalent education)
- Knowledge of basic systems (Electrical, HVAC, Boilers, Pools)
- Hands-on experience with interior construction, smooth drywall, plumbing, electrical, lights, doors, and hardware
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Current CPR/HWC certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
